Since 1978, the AFS mission is to support vulnerable children and families in need of stability, safety, and well-being in communities through foster care, adoption, and mental health services.
AFS follows CDC recommendations and works closely with its county partners on ensuring a safe, equitable, and compassionate workplace for its youth, families, and staff.
Note: The foster care industry has replaced the terms "foster parent" and "foster family" with "resource parent" and "resource family."
Individuals, businesses, and community organizations may participate in the virtual drive to help fund enrichment opportunities for foster youth including all types of camps, lessons, and classes. Click here to Foster Hope.
